We will conduct our own activities and operations to reflect best environmental practice and implement an environmental management system to pursue sustainability, continual improvement and the prevention of pollution. In particular we will:
1. Comply with current environmental legislation and approved codes of practice.
2. Encourage employees to work in an environmentally responsible manner, particularly with regard to electricity and water consumption.
3. Reduce, reuse or recycle waste where economically and environmentally sensible e.g. reduction of amount of packaging, recycling of all packaging, paper shredded and recycled for animal bedding.
4. Encourage suppliers to operate in an environmentally responsible manner.
5. Encourage support from customers by providing them with products and services that are environmentally responsible in use: eg recycled packaging with branded tape as opposed to new branded packaging.
6. Encourage suppliers, customers and employees to consolidate orders wherever possible to reduce the impact of transportation on the environment.
7. Carry on business in a responsible manner with due regard to the company's immediate environment, particularly in relation to noise, odour, lighting, litter, deliveries and collections.
