PULSin:

an exciting new protein and antibody delivery reagent
Protein delivery is emerging as a technique that complements gene transfection and RNA interference for studying protein function and cellular pathways. PULSin is a new reagent for efficient delivery of functional proteins/antibodies to living cells.

Fig 1:R-phycoerythrin (1ug) was complexed with 4 ul of PULSin for 15 mins and added to NIH-3T3 cells in a 24-well plate. Live cells were observed by fluorescence microscopy after 16 hours.

What is PULSin?

PULSin contains a proprietary cationic amphophile which forms non-covalent complexes with many proteins including antibodies. Complexes are internalised via anionic cell-adhesion receptors present on all cells and are released into the cytoplasm where they disassemble. The process is harmless to cells and delivers unmodified functional proteins.

Is the protocol complicated?

No- it's easy and fast!
  • PULSin is ready-to-use and includes dilution buffer and a fluorescent positive control protein.
  • The protocol is rapid: simply add protein to the reagents, incubate and add to cells.
  • Cells can be analysed 4 hours post-delivery
