ISF-1
ISF-1
Serum-free Medium for Hybridoma Culture
ISF-1 is a chemically defined optimised medium that has been developed for serum-free growth of mouse hybridoma cell lines and the production of monoclonal antibodies in flasks, roller bottles and agitated suspension cultures. Datasheet
Adaptation of Cells
Two protocols
Cells can be adapted to ISF-1 Serum-free medium either by rapid conversion or weaning. While rapid conversion may be successful for some types of cells, a gradual conversion is more likely to yield the desired result. Two protocols are available: Protocol 1: for use with anchorage-dependent cells or cells that ae loosely attached and do not require trypsinisation. It involves the gradual dilution of the serum-containg medium with the serum-free medium. Protocol 2: may be used with both anchorage-dependent and independent cell types and begins with serum-free medium supplemented with serum. A gradual reduction in serum concentration is performed at each subculture until serum-free growth is achieved. Protocols
