Santa Cruz siRNA Gene Silencers

  • Santa Cruz gene silencers (oligonucleotides) are double stranded and supplied ready to use.
  • A fluorescein control siRNA is available to monitor transfection efficiency (Cat No sc-36869). This is a general control that will not knockdown any genes in any cell type. A scrambled siRNA control is also available (Cat No sc-37007).
  • Santa Cruz does not guarantee a specific percentage of knockdown due to the many factors that will vary in experimentation that may effect the results. They do guarantee significant knockdown of the protein of interest. All mouse siRNAs are tested on cell lines known to express the protein of interest and to transfect well.
  • Sequences are determined through literature references and established siRNA sequence guidelines.
